What Refrigerator Removal Costs
Same two options as the rest of our single-item pickups — you choose how much of it you want to do.
Curbside Pickup
Fridge is already in the garage, driveway, or at the curb. Prepay, we schedule the stop, it’s gone.
Scheduled In-Home Pickup
We come in, dolly it out of the kitchen, handle the stairs and doorways, and protect your floors on the way.
No separate freon surcharge, no environmental fee bolted on at the end. The quote you get on the phone is the price. Military and first responders take 10% off.
Why you can’t just set a fridge at the curb. Refrigerators and freezers contain refrigerant, and under federal Clean Air Act rules that refrigerant has to be recovered by a certified technician before the unit can be scrapped. Coconino County won’t take a sealed unit at the transfer station, and leaving one out is both illegal and a real hazard for kids. We route every unit through proper refrigerant recovery and send the steel and aluminum to recycling.

Why Flagstaff Calls Us
We take the old one, period
Delivery crews often won’t haul off a unit that isn’t disconnected, is over a weight limit, or has ice buildup. We don’t have that list.
Disconnection included
Water line to the ice maker, standard plug, gas shutoff on a range. We handle routine disconnects as part of the pickup.
We’ll clean out the nasty ones
Unit sat unplugged for three months with food in it? It happens more than you’d think. We come prepared and we don’t charge extra for it.
Landlords and property managers
Unit turnovers, appliance swaps across multiple properties, standing accounts. We invoice you directly and coordinate with your tenants.
Appliance Removal Across Northern Arizona
We pick up refrigerators and appliances in Flagstaff, Sedona, Williams, Cottonwood, Camp Verde, and the wider Verde Valley. See all areas we serve.
Questions People Ask
How much does it cost to have a refrigerator hauled away in Flagstaff?
Curbside refrigerator pickup starts at $59 when the unit is already out and prepaid. Scheduled in-home removal, where we take it out of the kitchen for you, starts at $150. There’s no additional freon or environmental surcharge — the quote is the price.
Do you charge extra for the freon?
No. Refrigerant recovery is built into our pricing. A lot of haulers quote low and then add a $30 to $50 “freon fee” at the truck. We don’t do that.
Can I just leave my old fridge at the curb?
No. Refrigerators contain refrigerant that must be recovered by a certified technician under federal EPA rules before the unit can be scrapped, and the transfer station won’t accept a sealed unit. Abandoned appliances are also a genuine entrapment hazard for children. That’s the whole reason this service exists.
Do I need to empty and defrost it first?
Ideally yes — it makes the unit lighter and less messy. But if it’s been sitting unplugged and it’s a science experiment in there, tell us and we’ll come prepared. We don’t charge extra for it.
Will you disconnect the water line?
Yes. Standard ice maker water lines and electrical plugs are part of the pickup. For a gas range or anything requiring a permitted shutoff, we’ll let you know if a licensed tech needs to handle it first.
What happens to the refrigerator after you take it?
Refrigerant is recovered by a certified technician. The steel, aluminum, and copper get recycled. If the unit still runs and is in decent shape, we try to route it to a local donation partner instead of scrapping it.
Can you take multiple appliances at once?
Yes, and it’s much cheaper per item. If you’re clearing out a garage or doing a full kitchen remodel, our $250 quarter-trailer load usually beats paying per appliance. Ask when you call.
