Appliance and Furniture Hauling in Northern Arizona
Appliances and furniture are the two things most likely to strand a homeowner mid-project. The new refrigerator is arriving Thursday, the old one is still in the kitchen, and the delivery crew will not take it. That is the call we get most often.
Appliances we take
Refrigerators and freezers, washers and dryers, dishwashers, ranges and cooktops, wall ovens, microwaves, water heaters, furnaces, window and wall air conditioners, and swamp coolers. We handle the disconnection of simple plug-in and shutoff-valve connections, but gas lines and hard-wired equipment should be disconnected by a licensed plumber or electrician before we arrive.
Refrigerant and why it matters
Refrigerators, freezers, and air conditioners contain refrigerant that federal rules require to be recovered by a certified technician rather than released. This is the reason a fridge sometimes carries a small additional disposal fee where a couch does not, and it is also why leaving one at the curb is not a legal option. We route these units to facilities equipped to recover the refrigerant properly.
Furniture we take
Sofas, sectionals, recliners, mattresses and box springs, bed frames, dressers, wardrobes, dining sets, desks, bookcases, entertainment centers, pianos and organs, pool tables, treadmills and home gym equipment, and patio furniture. Stairs, tight turns, and doorways that were clearly installed before the furniture are all normal for us.
Donation first, landfill last
A working appliance or a clean sofa has real value to someone in Northern Arizona, so usable items are offered for donation or resale before anything else happens to them. Metal appliances that cannot be reused are recycled for scrap rather than buried, and mattresses are broken down for their steel, foam, and fiber where a processor is available. More on how we divert material from the landfill.
Single items and whole rooms
There is no minimum. One mattress is a perfectly normal job, and so is an entire house. If you are clearing more than a couple of rooms, residential junk removal or an estate and garage cleanout will usually price better than item-by-item pickup.
